Every saved highlight remembers which conversation it came from. Click a saved card and JumpBack reopens that conversation, scrolls to your sentence, and flashes it — even in very long chats. A note without context dies in a week; that's why every line stays linked to its moment.
AI Overviews have no history — Google regenerates them on every search, and the same answer may never appear again. JumpBack re-runs your search and highlights the sentence if it reappears. If it doesn't, your saved copy is the only one in existence — which is exactly why it's worth saving.
Summaries run on Chrome's built-in on-device AI (Gemini Nano), which needs Chrome 138+ and a reasonably powerful device. On machines that don't support it, your original text is always saved in full — nothing is ever lost, you just don't get the bullet summary.
Only in your browser's local storage — there is no content server and no account. We count anonymous feature usage (whether saving and jump-back worked — never what you saved), and you can switch that off anytime in the popup. Details: privacy policy. If sync ships later, it will always be opt-in.
